It has been a super hot summer and we are ready to indulge in some of our vintage guilty pleasures. This month the ladies of Kiss & Tell are celebrating their unabashed love for Italo Disco. Expect to be surprised and delighted on the dancefloor!

This month's special guests Professor Genius, Willie Burns, and DJ Chupacabras are putting out some of our favorite music right now, and they also happen to have extra deep Italo collections to pull from for their sets tonight.

Professor Genius beauifuly complex album "Hassan" has been playing non stop at the Kiss & Tell offices. We hope you get to know his music too!

We always enjoyed the nights that Speculator and DJ Chupacabras hosted at Loreley. Willie Burns, who runs WT Records, is finally getting the recognition he deserves!

Zachary Kennedy and Bethany will be starting off the night.

Dress your Italo disco best: sexy Fellini, Satyricon styles, polyester parma princesses, spacer women, tarzans loving the summer nights, Rimini beach babes. Think late 70's and early 80's nightlife styles!

Plenty of bike parking and free air to pump your wheelz.

Kiss & Tell: La Dolce Vita spiked frozie special cocktail made by Battery Harris just for you!

About our new summer home Battery Harris:

Queens-born owners pay tribute to the Rockaways with the name—a nod to an abandoned beach bunker in Fort Tilden park—and shore-inspired decor, including colorful stained-wood interiors, a transparent geometric roof and a wraparound deck. Richard Gibbs (Caracas Arepa Bar) dispatches spiced plates like jerk chicken wings, jalapeño mac-and-cheese pie and roasted-corn-and-cabbage slaw tossed in a Scotch-bonnet vinaigrette. Rum-heavy tipples include the Double Impact (lemon, kumquat shrub, vanilla and orange-blossom water) and the Quest (lime, basil and Angostura bitters). Also on offer: nearly 20 domestic beers and four wines on tap. (from Time Out NYC)

Professor Genius aka J Velez

Jorge Velez has been creating his own diverse electronic music since 1996 and has been steadily releasing on a variety of labels (including L.I.E.S, R-Zone, Echovolt, Italians Do It Better among others) since 2000.

Under a number of aliases -including Professor Genius, J Velez, Bridge & Tunnel Kids among others - Velez has constructed a highly respected music that looks back and builds upon the classics of European and Japanese synthesizer music, the Detroit and Chicago masters of techno and house and the club sounds of his own native New Jersey.

Willie Burns aka Speculator aka William Burnett

Speculator aka William Burnett has been in and around the nyc dj scene since around 2000 playing all types of clubs, underground parties, and bars. He also had a long running music program on East Village radio, but he recently made the switch to www.newtownradio.com. His program, WTBS, can be heard every Monday at noon. Speculator also finds time to dj around the U.S. and Europe while running his own record label- the critically acclaimed... W.T. Records. The label quickly found a place in the crates of connoisseur DJs all over the world . Apart from releasing great music, Will also produces his own tracks under the pseudonyms Willie Burns and Grackle. He is also a part of the Galaxy Toobin with Elliot Lipp and PG&S with Professor Genius.

DJ Chupacabras aka Jeremy D. Rodriguez

This Brooklyn based dj is originally from San Antonio, TX. Chupacabras first started djing while living in Barcelona around 2001 playing at Bar Benidorm and Club del Mar. Originally leaning more towards Detroit Techno and Electro artists he quickly fell into Miami Bass, Ghetto House, Italo Disco and Chicago House. After sweating it out in the underground illegal party scene for a few years he became resident in one of the secondary rooms at Nitsa Club/Apolo called Sala Neon. There he got to know the likes of Legowelt, I-F, Angel Molina, DMX Krew, Andy Weatherall, Marco Passarani and John Talabot to name a few. He also worked alongside Dj Zero at Wah Wah Records at this time in the “Dance Room”. In 2005 it was time to move to New York. Since arriving he has delved deeper into underground disco, boogie and soul while still playing house, techno and electro. He's been making some tracks for awhile and might actually put out a record someday. Collaborating with pal JDH, the 2 have put out remixes for Brooklyns own Lemonade as well as British Pop Star Little Boots.

Zachary Kennedy

Bethany Erskine is Kiss & Tell's beautiful disco encyclopedia from Mississippi. Ever since she emigrated to Brooklyn in 2007, Bethany has ruled the dancefloor at Kiss & Tell parties with her Southern charm and excellent taste. Even the deepest crate digging record nerds are regularly awed by her rare records and can be seen trainspotting her selections. Each month she delights us with her mix of raunchy electro, glamorous dark disco, and soulful street funk. Bethany has recently been moonlighting at The Bunker party with some very memorable opening sets of space disco and house.
