Cosmonauts Dan Selzer and Ulysses, our talented guest DJs, will guide you as you voyage through some of the catchiest and rarest bleeps and bloops in the universe. Our gorgeous resident burlesque star Amber Ray will be our Big Bang. Your lovely cabin crew at Rose will make sure you are comfortable and properly hydrated throughout your journey. We promise you will be surrounded by handsome celestial bodies and breathtaking views. If you are in the mood, you are welcome to come dressed as your favorite astronaut, martian, alien, futuristic human, or Barbarella-inspired space babe. Costumes are not mandatory, because space is a state of mind. In the great words of Sun Ra, Space is the Place.

Starting promptly at 8pm, our lovely blonde encyclopedia of disco, Bethany Benzur, will be indulging the dance floor with fabulous italo disco space hits.

Kiss & Tell Guest DJ: Dan Selzer
Dan Selzer has been djing since the 90s. First seen in NY hosting the influential Transmission party at Plant Bar, Dan has been a NYC mainstay for years, playing everywhere and anywhere, from the clubs of Manhattan to legendary Brooklyn loft parties like Mighty Robot and Rubulad. He also co-started the alldisco parties at Subtonic, which later move to Capones in Brooklyn. When not DJing, Dan runs the post-punk reissue label Acute Records, moderates the nyhappenings mailing list, hosts Pyjamara on VivaRadio.com and collects HI-NRG and italo-disco records from Salvation Armys in Queens.

Kiss & Tell Guest DJ: Ulysses
DJ’ing since 1991, Ulysses has been a major player in and helped define the style the New York’s Electro movement (later popularized by artists like Larry Tee). He has toured all over the world. In 2006 he played for thousands supporting local superstars the Scissor Sisters at the New York contemporary arts museum PS1’s “Warm-Up” series. Ulysses started one of the first large-scale Electro parties in New York, Regressive Technologies. Regressive Technologies featured the likes of Arthur Baker, Mark Kamins, Alexander Robotnick, Miss Kitten and the Hacker, Ectomorph, Perspects, Adult., John Selway, DJ Unknown of Fisherspooner, and Tommie Sunshine. He also remixed Le Tigre, Scissor Sisters and Fischerspooner.

Beyond the “Electroclash” semi-genre, Ulysses is charting his own musical path with dozens of releases on various labels. The music released so far has been wide in its breadth and quality, with records as diverse as Detroit Techno on pioneering Tribal Techno label Teknotika, Quirky Electro-House and Techno-Pop on Chicago’s genre-defining Deep House label Guidance, Deep Tech-House for Plastic City Suburbia and Tuning Spork Records, Italo-Disco weirdness on Memory Boy, and NRG inspired Techno/House on Germany’s influential Lasergun Records. Also look for collaborations with John Selway as the Neurotic Drum Band on Plant, Sodium and NDB Records, solo releases on Xylophone Jones and Play’s Cool Records, as well as a new release on Lasergun Records. His label Scatalogics Records opened for business in the winter of 2002 and has so far proved to be an astounding success. Scatalogics features Ulysses as the primary artist, as well as music from HÃ¥kan Lidbo, James Duncan, Todd Sines, John Selway, and, most recently, 1980’s Italo Disco legend Alexander Robotnick. www.discogs.com/artist/Ulysses+(2) www.scatalogics.com

Kiss & Tell Burlesque by: Amber Ray
Amber Ray is our in house burlesque starlet. She regularly performs her incredibly creative and seductive skits at Kiss & Tell. You might have seen her at our Valentine's Broken Hearts Party and our Dog Days of Summer Party where she danced around to "Can Your Pussy Do the Dog?" by the Cramps in a very sexy puppy costume. For this month's spectacle she is going to perform a naughty 60s striptease to the Velevet Underground. When she is not doing her adorable skits at every cool cocktail party in NYC and around the country, Amber is a showgirl costumer, stylist, and art model. We love Amber and so should you!

Kiss & Tell Resident DJ: Bethany Benzur
Bethany Benzur is our resident disco encyclopedia and vinyl purist from Georgia. Recently emigrating to the Big Apple, Bethany has been ruling the dancefloor at Kiss & Tell parties with her Southern charm. The DJ nerds are regularly awed by her selections, and she joins us each month to warm you up with her mix of raunchy electro, glamorous dark disco, and soulful street funk. She is sometimes joined behind the decks by her husband (and italo disco nerd) Gabe.

Kiss & Tell Hostess: Deanna Asta
Deanna Asta met Seze, her fellow lady of the nightlife, a few years ago at The Bunker and they bonded instantly. Seze asked Deanna to help co-host Kiss & Tell once it moved to Rose Bar and she happily obliged. Deanna always shows up to Kiss & Tell with a bag full of tricks. She is our decorating goddess and makes sure everyone at the party is looking great and having a good time. She somehow convinced every guest to wear fake moustaches at the French pop party, and she dragged a vintage Nordic Track machine to the aerobics party! She holds a degree in design and over the years she has art directed/managed many design events and parties in NYC through her previous employment with Core77.com. When she's not enjoying the nightlife she's busy earning her second degree in Psychiatric Nursing.

Kiss & Tell Booking, Hostess, Photographer, Flyer Designer: Seze Devres
Seze Devres started Kiss & Tell as an extention of her raunchy knitting circle at Trash Bar in Williamsburg on December 7, 2005. Only a few people showed up to her party. However wiith a lot of help, support, and encouragement from her friends the party has become its own little beast. When she is is not dreaming up crazy themes and guests for Kiss & Tell she is a full time artist, photographer, designer and curator.
