Kiss & Tell, a monthly party at Rose Live Music in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, has been producing unique theme based events for over four years. Each month Kiss & Tell invites well known electronic music DJs eager to play a different kind of set, filled with music outside of the genres they are known for.

This month the ladies of Kiss & Tell will be hosting "She's a Rainbow" a color themed toy drive and disco party of sorts. We will be collecting gifts for the children at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx.

Sal P. from Liquid Liquid fame and Time Out's Clubs Editor Bruce Tantum are our special guest DJs. Both Sal and Bruce were lucky enough to be around for the first wave of disco in New York. They certainly have plenty of stories to tell and the records to show for it. Our in house disco encyclopedia Bethany Benzur will start out the night.

Guests are invited to dress up their favorite color (or even better many colors) of choice. The more representations of the spectrum, the merrier the party will be! Please remember to bring a new toy or arts & crafts supply. Expect to have an unforgettable night of dining, dancing, decadence and lots of disco. Delicious cocktails and pasta specials will be available all night.

Toy Drive Benefiting Children Facing Medical Challenges

Your generous gifts will be donated to medical facilities served by Project Sunshine, a nonprofit organization that provides free educational, recreational and social programs to over 60,000 children and families living with medical challenges. Kiss & Tell Guest DJ: Sal Principato is best known as one of the original members of legendary New York group Liquid Liquid. Calling Liquid Liquid "legendary" is actually an understatement. Although they really started from an art-rock background, it was the early club scene that really embraced their sound. This is what made New York's music scene so interesting in that era, the division between the avant garde and pop music was fuzzy at best, and collaborations and cross pollinations were celebrated. One of the early Liquid Liquid singles was the basis for Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's massive hit "White Lines", and was played by early visionary DJs such as Afrika Bambaataa and Larry Levan. Much of the popular "dance rock" music you hear today simply couldn't exist without Liquid Liquid. Rumor has it that Liquid Liquid is back in the studio working on material that could see the light of day soon.

Kiss & Tell Guest DJ: Bruce Tantum has been active in Gotham’s clubbing scene since the late ‘70s, back when niteries such as Max’s Kansas City and Studio 54 still allowed prepubescent young lads thought their doors. By the early '80s, he and his no-wave minimalist-pop band Moot were regular fixtures at such hallowed halls as the Mudd Club, Danceteria and the Peppermint Lounge. But deejaying beckoned, and Bruce tossed out his bass guitar and picked up the Technics in the late ”80s, spinning a mix of oddball disco and early house in hotspots ranging from venues like Limelight and Centro-Fly to dirty basement clubs and warehouse parties. Bruce is still on the decks—spinning every seedy club and dive the city has to offer, and traveling the globe to spread a bit of NYC vibe—but for the last 13 years, he’s also been spending his days as Time Out NY’s Clubs editor, a post from which his handlers allow him spout off about the music and the world he loves.

Kiss & Tell Resident DJ: Bethany Benzur
Bethany Benzur is our resident disco encyclopedia and vinyl purist from Georgia. Recently emigrating to the Big Apple, Bethany has been ruling the dancefloor at Kiss & Tell parties with her Southern charm. The DJ nerds are regularly awed by her selections, and she joins us each month to warm you up with her mix of raunchy electro, glamorous dark disco, and soulful street funk. She is sometimes joined behind the decks by her husband (and italo disco nerd) Gabe.

Kiss & Tell Hostess, Photographer, Designer:
Seze Devres
started Kiss & Tell as an extention of her raunchy knitting circle at Trash Bar in Williamsburg on December 7, 2005. At first only a few people showed up to her new party. However wiith a lot of help, support, and encouragement from her friends the party has become its own little beast. When she is is not dreaming up crazy themes and guests for Kiss & Tell she is a full time artist, photographer, designer and curator.

Kiss & Tell Hostess:
Deanna Asta
met Seze, her fellow lady of the nightlife, a few years ago at The Bunker and they bonded instantly. Seze asked Deanna to help co-host Kiss & Tell once it moved to Rose Bar and she happily obliged. Deanna always shows up to Kiss & Tell with a bag full of tricks. She is our decorating goddess and makes sure everyone at the party is looking great and having a good time. She somehow convinced every guest to wear fake moustaches at the French pop party, and she dragged a vintage Nordic Track machine to the aerobics party! She holds a degree in design and over the years she has art directed/managed many design events and parties in NYC through her previous employment with Core77.com. When she's not enjoying the nightlife she's busy earning her second degree in Psychiatric Nursing.
