Kiss & Tell Resident DJ: Bethany Benzur is our beautiful disco encyclopedia and vinylpurist from Georgia. Ever since she emigrated to Brooklyn in 2007, Bethany has been ruling the dancefloor at Kiss & Tell parties with her Southern charm and excellent taste. Even the deepest crate digging record nerds are regularly awed by her rare records and can be seen trainspotting her selections. Each month she delights us with her mix of raunchy electro, glamorous dark disco, and soulful street funk. Bethany has recently been moonlighting at The Bunker party with some very memorable opening sets of space disco and house. Kiss & Tell will be presenting the closing night festivities at the Communikey Festival in Boulder, Colorado in April 2011, where Bethany will be playing alongside Kiss & Tell favorite Mike Huckaby. Kiss & Tell creator: Seze Devres, of Turkish descent, was raised in New York City. An artist, designer, photographer, and occasional party hostess, Seze is involved in many aspects of creativity and music. Since 1995, she has been creating camera-less photographs (photograms) that explore the potentials of light and color through abstraction. Her abstract images have received worldwide recognition through exhibitions in numerous solo and group shows in the United States, Turkey, and France; her newest video work, based on her photograms, was recently shown at Lincoln Center in New York. Seze is equally as passionate about music as visual art, and has created artwork for special limited edition releases for many sound artists and record labels. For years, Seze has been photographing parties, concerts, and social events in New York City on a regular basis, and since 2006, she has been invited to photograph the hugely successful museum parties for the PS1/MoMA Warm Up events. In 2005 she started Kiss & Tell, a girly after-work cocktail party with a new theme each month. The party has started a tradition of hosting well known electronic music DJs eager to do something different, and play sets filled with the all the vintage dance music that inspired their love of music. And for the past five years she has been photographing at The Bunker, a world-renowned weekly techno party in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Seze's images and designs have graced dozens of galleries, record covers, posters, flyers, magazines, galleries, posters, and websites. She has probably already photographed you.
